stephen king said it best...

"The road to hell is paved in adverbs."

Especially when you try to escape the world you're in, only to be ripped right out of it by a pretentiously placed adjective.

let me tell you a little story

Two frogs meet for tea in a cafe.

You know those stories that go on and on (and on and on) without much structure and all kinds of filler words?

Same, girl, same.

If long sentences are your forte, let's make sure they are fully captivating your audience. What's more fun than a sentence that takes you for a roller coaster ride? ...Or has you gasping for breath after reading the length aloud.

ahem, let me introduce myself

I’m Gabriella – your slightly unhinged copyeditor, proofreader, and friend.

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had a strong passion for the literary arts. Growing up, I wouldn’t leave the house without bringing at least one book with me (yes, I know, very Rory Gilmore of me).

You see, I just couldn’t wait to crack open the latest find from the library and embark on a journey to wherever the book would take me–that was until I would get ripped out my fantasy world by a simple grammatical error or a misspelling of the word ‘receive’. *insert eye twitch*

Whether we grab inspiration from music, a funky dream, or a weird sentence someone yelled in the street, inspiration floats and swirls in the world around us. Ideas formulate from the oddest, or even simplest, of places. I here now promise to never judge you about wherever you retrieve yours.

I firmly believe that being a part of the writing community is to support the writing community in any way you can. I want to make people, specifically writers, look good and feel confident in their work without having to worry about someone judging what they’ve written or feel even more stressed out by someone who’s too into their own butt.

So, what's the bottom line?

My goal is to be a supportive presence for writers like yourself, which essentially means that I will do everything in my power to ensure you succeed, being sure to have fun along the way.

We should be friends, so here are some weird cool things that make me, well, me.

A miniature library

I am obsessed with miniatures.

Gabriella holding a Stephen King book

My favorite author is Stephen King.

Hand with tattoo holding wine glass in front of book

I have a couple of cool hand tats, because why not?

Gabriella walking in forest

I love the forest. And rain. And nature.

A custom shirt with the saying "Orange a day keeps the scurvy away"

I like to make t-shirts with random sayings on them for family and friends.
